Entrepreneurs have nothing to fear from Microsoft Dynamics 365
Microsoft Dynamics 365 has been launched globally. The new software combines CRM and ERP in a single cloud service. We are already excited, but we have noticed that our clients still have some concerns.
Switching to the cloud-driven Dynamics 365 means that critical business information is no longer saved on your own server. At first glance, this may seem less secure, but in actual fact, the opposite is true – and it’s much less expensive too. Find out why this is the case below.
Dynamics 365 groups every tool into one application
Dynamics 365 is built on Azure – Microsoft’s cloud platform – and is made up of various applications, the most important ones being Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Financials, Field Service, Project Service Automation and Marketing. All apps have been highly integrated with one another, meaning you can simply switch from one app to another without having to constantly click to open and close windows. Dynamics 365 has also been fully integrated with Office 365. For example, if you receive an email in Outlook, you also immediately receive all the client information that has been saved in Dynamics 365.
Analysing and interpreting data is also much easier. We have the integration of Power BI, Azure Internet of Things and Cortana Intelligence to thank for this. With these applications, you can carry out advanced analyses of your data and use them in interactive reports in an instant. You can even use your data to produce forecasts, so you can predict exactly when a device will require maintenance. But if your business doesn’t need this service, no problem! Dynamics 365 gives you full control over which apps you wish to install, so you never have to pay for applications you don’t need.
All these tools can help you to serve your clients more effectively, which is just as important as providing a quality product. Clients need to have their requirements fulfilled and the new tools in Dynamics 365 can help you to do this.
Our CEO Filip Bossuyt had this to say, “Businesses must be competitive on the global stage. The hunt for clients is more intensive than ever before. It’s not just about producing a product as efficiently as possible, it’s also about serving the client in the best way possible, which is why Dynamics 365 is so important.”
Dynamics 365 signifies the start of looking at your company in a new way
Switching to the cloud means that important business information is no longer stored on your server, which raises concerns for many business leaders, but these worries are unfounded. The days when it was more secure to manage a data centre within a company are simply in the past. When it comes to Dynamics 365, security is a top priority and it makes sense too. Security problems would signal the end of Dynamics 365 and naturally Microsoft will never allow that to happen.
Consider the costs involved in maintaining your own data centre. Technological applications are developing at an ever-faster rate. Those who don’t keep up with the times will very soon find themselves with outdated systems, and keeping up with all the latest developments will cost a great deal of time and money too. Choosing Dynamics 365 means you can take those investments out of the equation. You no longer need to remember to perform updates as they are installed automatically. So it’s high time to start looking at your company in a different way.
Switching to Dynamics 365
Still not convinced about Dynamics 365? It is possible. But don’t forget that the success of your company largely depends on the availability of your data. With Dynamics 365, you can access data anywhere and anytime. What’s more, you don’t need to transfer all your critical business data to the Azure Cloud straight away. You can choose which information or workflows you migrate to the cloud first. The rest of your data can continue to be saved on your server. If you are happy with the results, you can always fully switch to the Azure Cloud and Dynamics 365 at a later stage.
